    EXPERIENCE OMM: THE VIRTUAL HOSPITALITY SUITE - PART II

    O'Melveny & Myers LLP (www.omm.com) is an international law firm with approximately 1,000 lawyers in 14 offices worldwide. As you consider where to begin your legal career, we are excited to share with you more about what the O'Melveny experience is really like through a new webcast series on associate life at O'Melveny.

    We have received some great feedback on our introductory sessions held earlier this month, and are pleased to launch Part II of the virtual hospitality suite series with three new webcasts coming this September. In these sessions, we will offer inside perspectives on some of the core characteristics of O'Melveny culture: values and diversity, pro bono, and talent development.     During the month of June, The Career and Professional Development Center hosted two webinars for 2L students. On June 10, Camesha McCallister Jones presented a powerpoint entitled "2L Job Searching" with help from a panel of recent Duke Law graduates. On June 17, Alan Dickinson hosted Duke Law alumni Alan Surchin and Peter Ocko as they discussed the value of networking in their presentation "Guerilla Tactics for Landing that 2L Job: The Art of Self Promotion and Creative Networking."     Webinar on Student Debt Relief

    Equal Justice Works is having a webinar once a week for the next three weeks that covers the College Cost Reduction and Access Act (CCRAA) which provides debt relief for those doing government and public interest work (and also has an income-based repayment option open to all graduates whether they are doing public interest work or not).  You must register to attend.  If you have not already learned about the CCRAA you should try to attend one of these sessions.
